Currently our custom minifigure visual designs use adhesive decals. These are produced by a professional printing company and they provide excellent quality. However, there are some limiting factors. 

1. Size - They can't make decals under 10mm in height. 
2. Detail - The protective coating means detail is lost. 

3. Cost - Its expensive for a single design.

4. Time-consuming - shipping back and forth takes time.

5. Only flat surfaces - The biggest problem ! No custom legs.

Due to the massive support over the Christmas period, we have seen just how amazing this community is and it has given us the confidence to take osrsbricks to the next level. That being said, that means the costs start ramping up, and we need to be careful not to blow the budget on the first improvement. 

We've had our eyes on a UV printer to produce extremely high-quality level custom designs. A new printer is on the market, and it will allow us to print on any shape. FINALLY custom legs, heads, arms and any other LEGO piece ! There is one small tiny issue. This printer is £15,000 

We want to do a fundraiser for £3,000. Essentially for every £1 the community adds we will add £4. But why? Surely osrsbricks can afford this. Yes and no. This is still the early days, and although if you have got this far in this blog, you are probably a huge fan of what we do, sadly, we are still new and still growing. As mentioned, committing to something on this scale and it fails means other aspects will lose out, like fewer set releases. 

By having some backing behind us we know that this is a wanted improvement by our community and less of a risk than launching into it by ourselves. Of course, there will be rewards for backing us, which if this idea is well received, we can give more detail on but things like store credit of the amount funded or free custom commisons, are on the table as ideas.
